Operating Procedures for Wood Cutting machines

The operating procedures of wood cutting machines cover aspects such as pre-operation preparations, in-operation processes, post-operation maintenance, and safety and health management. The following is a detailed introduction:

First, preparations before operation

Equipment inspection

Confirm that the power supply voltage is consistent with that of the cutting machine and that the power cord is intact.

Check whether all components of the cutting machine are in good condition, including the cutting discs, drive belts, bearings, etc.

Check whether the protective cover and safety baffle are installed firmly to ensure safety.

Make sure the operation console is stable and there should be sufficient lighting brightness when working at night.

Check the surrounding environment of the cutting machine to ensure there are no flammable or explosive items.

Tool and workpiece preparation:

Check and prepare the necessary tools, such as gloves, goggles, protective suits, etc.

Make sure the size of the wood to be cut is accurate, the surface is smooth, free of oil stains, moisture, etc., and it is firmly clamped to prevent movement or sliding during the cutting process.

Second, the process during operation

Start the equipment:

Turn on the power switch, start the cutting machine and check whether the cutting tool rotates normally.

Press the start button and observe whether the cutting machine starts normally and whether the saw blade rotates in the correct direction.

Run the saw blade for a few turns under no-load conditions to check if it operates smoothly and if there are any abnormal sounds.

Place and clamp the workpiece:

Place the wood steadily on the cutting table to ensure that the workpiece is firmly fixed.

The operator should stand on the side of the cutting tool and avoid working on the front of the tool.

Push the workpiece slowly, maintain a uniform speed and avoid excessive force.

Cutting operation:

Observe the cutting process. If any abnormal situation is found, stop the operation immediately.

Adjust the cutting depth according to the thickness of the wood to ensure that the cutting depth matches the thickness of the wood.

Start the cutting machine, feed the material evenly and avoid excessive force.

During the cutting process, closely observe the operation of the saw blade. If any abnormality is found, stop the machine immediately for inspection.

Multi-angle cutting

When the wood needs to be sawn into a straight section, turn the handle to the zero degree of the Angle plate for sawing.

When the wood needs to be sawn at an Angle, turn the handle to the corresponding Angle on the Angle plate for sawing.

Third, post-operation maintenance

Turn off the equipment:

After the cutting is completed, turn off the power of the cutting machine and remove the cut wood.

Check the cutting effect to ensure that the cutting quality meets the requirements.

Clean the equipment

Clear the wood chips and waste on the cutting table.

After the operation is completed, promptly clear the wood chips and debris around the cutting machine to keep the working environment clean and tidy.

Equipment maintenance

Regularly inspect all components of the cutting machine. If any wear or damage is found, replace or repair them in a timely manner.

Regularly clean the oil stains on the drag plate, guide rail and guide rail drive lead screw, and add lubricating oil in time.

If the entire cutting machine is not used for a certain period of time after its operation, a layer of lithium should be applied to the moving parts of the blades and fixtures as well as some areas inside the machine that are prone to rust.

Fourth, safety and health management

Personal protection:

Operators must wear protective glasses, earplugs, gloves, protective suits and other protective equipment to prevent splashes generated during the cutting process from injuring their eyes, ears and bodies.

Operating Specifications:

Operators should strictly follow the operating procedures and must not change the equipment parameters or operation methods without authorization.

It is strictly prohibited to adjust the cutting depth or replace the cutting discs while the cutting machine is in operation.

During the operation, it is strictly forbidden to insert hands or other parts into the cutting area.

If any abnormal conditions such as noise, vibration or strange smell are found in the cutting machine, stop it immediately for inspection.

Emergency situation handling

In case of emergency, such as equipment failure or wood getting stuck, the machine should be stopped immediately and the power supply cut off to ensure safety.

In case of fire hazard, immediately stop the operation, turn off the power supply, use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire and call the police immediately.

Health monitoring

Regularly conduct physical examinations for operators, with a focus on the respiratory health of workers who are exposed to dust for a long time.

Implement a job rotation system for high-dust positions to reduce the time of each exposure.
