Sharing of maintenance tips for wood cutting machines

The maintenance of wood cutting machines is crucial for ensuring equipment performance and extending service life. Here are some maintenance tips:

First, daily cleaning and inspection

Clean the cutting area: Immediately after the machine stops, use a soft cloth or brush to clean the cutting disc, fixture and worktable to prevent the debris from hardening. Focus on cleaning the gaps between the guide rails and slide rails. A vacuum cleaner can be used for assistance to prevent jamming and resulting in a decrease in accuracy.

Check the equipment status: Inspect whether the power cord is damaged, whether the cutting disc is tight and undamaged, whether the protective device is in place, and whether all components of the equipment are in good condition.

Second, maintenance of the cutting discs

Regular inspection and replacement: Check if the surface of the cutting disc is adhered with aluminum shavings, resin, etc., and clean it with a special cleaner or a hard-bristled brush. Cracks, notches or deformations found must be replaced immediately.

Proper storage: If the saw blade is not to be used immediately, it should be placed flat or hung up through the inner hole. Note that no other items should be piled up on the flat saw blade or stepped on to prevent rust.

Timely grinding: If the saw blade is no longer sharp and the cutting surface is rough, it should be reground in time.

Third, lubrication and maintenance

Lubricate key components: Use high-temperature resistant grease and apply a small amount to the guide rails and lead screws. Manually move the slide table 2 to 3 times to ensure even lubrication. Regularly apply grease to the main shaft bearings, such as once every 3,000 hours.

Cooling system maintenance: Check that the coolant level is not lower than the marked line and replenish pure coolant in time. Clean the filter screen and empty the waste liquid tank every week to prevent metal powder from depositing and corroding the pipeline.

Fourth, maintenance of the transmission system

Inspect transmission components: Regularly check the wear of transmission components such as gears, racks, and chains, and make adjustments or replacements if necessary.

Adjust the tightness of the V-belt: Ensure that the V-belt is of appropriate tightness to avoid equipment failure caused by being too tight or too loose.

Fifth, safe operation and maintenance

Adhere to safety regulations: When the cutting machine is in operation, be fully concentrated, keep a clear mind, and operate the power tools rationally. It is strictly prohibited to sand objects on the cutting disc to prevent the grinding wheel from breaking and injuring people.

Stop the machine immediately for inspection: When abnormal sounds or unusual conditions occur, stop the machine immediately for inspection. Before repairing or replacing parts, the power supply must be cut off first and wait for the saw blade to stop completely.

Sixth, long-term storage and maintenance

Anti-rust treatment: If the entire cutting machine is not used for a certain period of time after use, a layer of anti-rust agent should be applied to the moving parts of the blades and fixtures as well as some areas inside the machine that are prone to rust.

Regular start-up: Cutting machines that have been stored for a long time should be started and run for a period of time regularly to maintain the performance of the equipment.
